ABOUT SHON MONDRAGON

Shon MonDragon is a certified meditation teacher and mental health professional. Growing up in Houston, TX, Shon was fortunate to be surrounded by a wealth of opportunity and cultural diversity among his community. While attaining his undergraduate degree at the University of Houston, Shon studied cognitive psychology under a fellowship with the Center for Neuro Cognition and Engineering. His research there focused on understanding how cognitive systems like memory and attention function. That research would inspire Shon to seek how to apply his knowledge, and pairing his functional understanding of the brain with the mental health art of counseling was the perfect bridge. Today, while Shon is completing his Master’s in Counseling he works providing meditation as a therapeutic service, while developing the growth of a non-profit supporting communities affected by school shootings. Shon is motivated by his passion to understand the mind, and make mental health more accessible, approachable, and effective.
