Dr. Taylor Freeman is a Licensed Professional Counselor, Marriage and Family Therapist and Somatic EMDR Practitioner. With over ten years of experience working in the field of community mental health, Taylor specializes in providing holistic care to teens/adolescents, young adults, couples, and families from diverse backgrounds. The clinical services Taylor provides reflect her firm belief in the fortitude of the human spirit. Grounded in person-centered, attachment-based, and post-modern theories of practice, Taylor’s therapeutic approach utilizes trauma-informed, strength-based interventions that take into account the multi-dimensional and systemic environments impacting the social and emotional health of her clients. Taylor is the owner and founder of Root to Rise Family Therapy, a mental health private practice that provides clinical services to families in the Dallas area.
In addition to her clinical work, Taylor is a 200hr certified Yoga Instructor and a 200hr certified Meditation Teacher. Taylor teaches several classes weekly at Breathe, including Guided Meditation, Chakra Clearing, and 11th Step. The 11th Step class is the most unique class Taylor teaches as it provides a healing space for those in recovery to continue to foster their relationship with themselves and with their higher power. While this class is rooted in recovery, all are welcome to attend.
Taylor feels most at one when surrounded by and rooted in the interconnectedness of nature. It is her deep connection to the outdoors that informs her spiritual practice. As her journey continues, Taylor hopes to continue to integrate her love for the outdoors with the healing practices she shares with others.
