Mindfulness in Everyday Life

Maybe you have a daily meditation practice, but you still can’t seem to keep your cool in certain situations. Maybe you still find yourself driving to a destination and having no idea how you got there. Maybe you find every day and every year disappearing in the blink of an eye… “I can’t believe it’s already ____”.

If you can do mindfulness meditation seated on a cushion or chair (and everyone can!), then you can do it while out shopping, drinking a cup of tea, eating your food, holding your baby, working at the computer or having a chat with a friend? All of these are opportunities to apply mindfulness, to be aware. Bringing our mindfulness practice off the cushion and into our daily lives is where we can get the most benefit and can be the most amazed by the changes we begin to see.

What You Will Experience
You will learn all about why bringing mindfulness to everyday activities is so beneficial and how to do it. This workshop includes immersive guided activities as well as practical planning activities that will:

  •      – Help you to apply mindfulness to any activity
  •      – Pinpoint activities we normally think of as mundane or boring that we can bring awareness to
  •      – Identify the barriers in our lives that keep up from being mindful in a moment and develop
  •        strategies to overcome them
  •      – Discussion times for the group, as well as for questions

Leave this workshop with the confidence to begin enacting mindfulness in any activity you undergo in your day and a plan to overcome any barriers in doing so.
