Chanting is a rhythmical repetition of words, phrases, songs or sounds repeated silently or out loud. This is used as a form of meditation used to still and quiet the mind, bring one in touch with divinity and open the heart.
In this Chanting workshop you will learn about the science and mystery behind Mantra Chanting by learning a few key Sanskrit Mantras for you to practice at home. When discussing these mantras we will work through the annunciation, meaning and recite them together for a vibrational experience like no other. Chanting Sanskrit mantras is very effective for one's consciousness. It can provide a calming, cleansing and energizing effect. Each Sanskrit letter is represented by a sound that is associated with a specific energy center, or chakra, within the body. By reciting them, you will stimulate the chakra it represents.
You will leave feeling calm, wildly ecstatic and all points in between! It does not matter what your religious beliefs or spiritual practices are- chanting can benefit everyone! When practiced, chanting can provide positive physiological and psychological effects. Scientific studies have found that chanting can decrease stress, anxiety and depressive symptoms, as well as increase positive mood, feelings of relaxation and focused attention.
