Are you interested in cultivating a personal meditation practice, or perhaps just some reassurance? Does it feel like meditation could be a big part of your life or a way of living? Do you feel like it’s time to pause searching for the answers outside of yourself and start turning inward?

Join Lexi Milam, meditation guide and yoga teacher, in this explorative workshop for cultivating (or recommitting to) your personal meditation practice. Take your meditation practice beyond the cushion or classroom and into your daily life. This workshop will address the physical body and senses as access points to meditation. Through gentle movements designed to cultivate stillness for your meditation practice, tips for setting up a supportive seat for optimal comfort, practicing both restorative and energizing alternatives to seated postures, and addressing common occurrences while in a meditation practice like falling asleep or physical pain, we will experience techniques you can take with you for years to come!

Whether you are a true beginner or an experienced meditation practitioner, this explorative workshop allows you time to address questions, experience various physical postures to access meditation, establish or recommit to your personal practice, and offers a guide for simplifying your meditation practice to make it tailored to your needs. This guided workshop empowers you with practices to discover how you are your own best teacher while being supported in the community. For more experienced practitioners or upcoming teacher trainees interested in this workshop, we will address the mindfulness concept of developing a beginner’s mind (a willingness to see everything as if you are seeing it for the first time) and support you in building a firm foundation for your personal meditation practice.
