CranioSacral Therapy (CST) is a form of bodywork or alternative therapy that uses gentle touch to palpate the synarthrodial joints of the cranium. This hands-on method evaluates and enhances the functioning of a physiological body system to release restrictions in the craniosacral system and improve the functioning of the central nervous system.

By complementing the body's natural healing processes, CST is increasingly used as a preventive health measure for its ability to bolster resistance to disease, and is effective for a wide range of medical problems associated with pain and dysfunction, including:

Sessions last approximately one hour with your first session lasting about an hour and a half. Each session is tailored to meet your current and ongoing needs. All sessions are performed on a table and fully clothed.

Monica Hamer, CST-T, LMT, MTI

Monica is a Certified CranioSacral Therapist with over 16 years of extensive training through Upledger Institute International (UII). She also serves as a Certified Teaching Assistant with UII for a variety of CranioSacral classes around the country. Monica is a Licensed Massage Therapist and Massage Therapy Instructor with the State of Texas, Certified Infant Massage Instructor, Certified Medical Intuitive and Certified Meditation Teacher. Monica’s intention for each treatment is to administers low impact treatments that affect high impact results, as she addresses multiple physical issues through CranioSacral therapy integrated with other gentle and effective modalities.

As an experienced Birth Doula trained through Doulas of North America (DONA), Monica has worked as a birth assistant for local midwives and taught a variety of classes in the new mother/family community. She also earned advanced certification training in medical massage for pregnancy, labor and post-partum by completing coursework for Bodywork for the Childbearing Year. Monica’s work integrates various therapies to help everyone from infants and children to adults. One thing that sets her apart from other therapists is her emphasis on educating her clients on the impact that the mind-body connection has on their overall health. She strongly believes in empowering her clients to look at health from a lifestyle perspective by incorporating a variety of tools that help each individual as opposed to a “magic pill”. 

Monica believes that creating a safe therapeutic experience is paramount to her clients ability to connect with their bodies and heal. This is evidenced through her unique style and approach that encourages clients to drop into meditation throughout her treatments. A mom to three college students and a native Texan currently living in Dallas with her husband, Monica is known by her friends, family and clients for her infectious spirit and joyful personality.
