Intro to Mindfulness

Sunday, January 14th, 2:00 - 4:00PM

$60

ABOUT THIS WORKSHOP

"I can't stop thinking, so I can't meditate." "I've tried to meditate but failed. "I can’t sit still." "I
can’t concentrate that long." "I fall asleep." "I'm too busy". If you've said any of these things
before, or if you've wanted to try Mindfulness but have no idea to begin, this workshop is for
you!

Jon Kabat-Zinn has defined mindfulness meditation as “the awareness that arises from
paying attention, on purpose, in the present moment and non-judgmentally”. It has nothing
to do with stopping thoughts!

This workshop will teach you techniques for observing your thoughts, feelings and bodily
sensations and why this is is such a powerful practice! We also discuss how to use this "off
the cushion" in our everyday life.

ABOUT THIS WORKSHOP

By taking the time to understand and master each one individually you will have the foundation needed to integrate them with confidence and ease into your daily life. This series will explore the foundation, provide an interactive learning environment and allow time for true transformation.

This workshop will include formal and informal mindfulness exercises and practices. You will also have tools to take home with you after each session along with a greater understanding of yourself and the way in which you interact with the world. This series is one you won't want to miss!
